6 Places The Fit And Beautiful Eat In Los Angeles

6 Places The Fit And Beautiful Eat In Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a food city like no other (sorry New York) and the number of choices can be overwhelming, especially if you’re trying to keep your beach body year round.

That’s why we’ve put together this list of the top 5 healthy restaurants in the Beverly Grove Area so you can grab a guilt-free meal and refuel after a workout at Virtuo Fitness.

While we would love for all our clients to meal prep as we’ve outlined in this guide, we know on the run Angelenos need healthy, delicious food to keep their energy up and figure trim.

Our trainers are foodies to the core and we’ve scoured all of 3rd street looking for the healthiest and tastiest places to grab a bite after a workout.

After consuming thousands of delicious Calories in the name of research, we have narrowed down our list to 6 restaurants guaranteed to leave you satisfied without swelling your waistline.

So without further ado, here is our list of the top 6 healthy places to eat in the Beverly Grove area.

Byrdie’s Rotisserie

8030 W. 3rd St los angeles, ca 90048 / (323) 433-4034 / Website

When it comes to protein, Byrdie’s is top-notch with delicious rotisserie chicken that comes in their signature bowls and sandwiches. While healthy and chicken might conjure images of boring, dry chicken breast, Byrdie’s is another world filled with flavorful. Each bite is a reminder that healthy and basic doesn’t have to mean boring.
The Virtuo Trainers recommend: A quarter chicken with a side of sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts.

Sweet Green

8055 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (323) 934-3404 / Website

With green in the name, you know this fast-casual restaurant is up on their salad game. With a rotating menu of signature bowls and salads, it’s hard to go wrong here. We like the option to add extra protein and the prominently displayed nutritional information is key for our clients who are staying on track. If you’re feeling a bit decadent, their signature bread is worth the Calories.

The Virtuo Trainers recommend: The buffalo chicken bow which comes in under 500 Calories and packs 35 grams of protein is a great choice.

Toast Cafe

8221 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (323) 655-5018 / Website

LA is the undisputed champ when it comes to brunch and Toast’s Mid City Location is among the major reasons why. Any breakfast spot with a line during the week is doing something right. With an extensive menu, there are plenty of options for those saying yes to carbs (try the pancakes!) and more protein-packed options for those that are keeping it Keto. Make sure to grab some friends, order some healthy omelets and split an order of their amazing pancakes for the table.

The Virtuo Trainers recommend: The protein omelet which includes chicken breast, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, veggies and cheese, for a post-workout protein-packed meal.

Bluestone Lane

8100 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (718) 374-6858 / Website

Everyone knows that trainers can’t say no to coffee and when it comes to helping us wake up for that 5 workouts, we turn to Austrlian-born Blues Stone lane. Along with excellent coffee which they also sell by the bag, Bluestone features a menu inspired by local California ingredients. After trying everything one the menu twice just to make sure, we decided you can’t go wrong with any of the all-day breakfast items.

The Virtuo Trainers recommend: The Athlete’s burrito featuring Egg whites, sautéed spinach, roasted tomatoes, avocado, lentils, sheep’s milk feta & chimichurri mayo served with a dressed salad.

Sweetfin

8075 W 3rd St Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (323) 934-3701 / Website
The secret to a great poke bowl is high-quality fish and Sweetfin sources some of the best through their sustainable suppliers. Along with a commitment to environmentalism, Sweetfin’s chef-inspired menu produces some truly amazing flavor combinations that make each bowl the highlight of your week. With the option to build your own bowl from a long list of ingredients or trust their curated lists of bowls, you can’t go wrong. Just make sure you grab some kombucha on tap to wash it all down.

The Virtuo Trainers recommend: The Protein Power Bowl featuring sustainable albacore and sweet potato that are topped with a homemade sriracha ponzu sauce, avocado, edamame, chopped kale, and pepita.

Kreation Juicery

8428 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (323)7821777 / Website

Nothing says LA healthy more than a smoothie on the go, and Kreation has some of the best. Along with premade juices, coffees and an extensive menu built around health-conscious staples, their protein smoothies are a great post-workout choice. If you do have a moment to sit, make sure to soak up the relaxing vibes and get in some quality people-watching just a block from the Beverly center.

The Virtuo Trainers recommend: The Galmology smoothie featuring collagen protein, cacao wellness superfood powder, tocos, flax meal, cacao nibs, date, vanilla extract, avocado, banana, strawberries, almond milk.

Whether you’re shopping at the Grove or the Beverly Center or finishing up your workout at Virtuo you’re only a few steps away from each of these great restaurants.
